Memphis City Schools: More questions are arising about Superintendent Kriner Cash’s “wonder problem-fixer” consultant, Jeffrey Hernandez. Attendance at City schools dropped 12,000 below forecast.

Rutherford County faces throwing out all results of their August 5th voting because of a major early voting oversight. The State Election Commission is now involved, and looking at Hawkins County, too.

Seventh Congressional District challenger and Democrat Greg Rabidoux, says incumbent Republican Marsha Blackburn is avoiding him. She appeared in Bartlett on Tuesday.

The Nashville attorney who wrote Sunday’s Tennessean editorial on altering the 14th Amendment, Gregg Ramos, reveals his personal stake in the issue. The national parties are keeping a close eye on Tennessee’s races. A State Comptroller study finds $675,000 missing from local governments!


DeSoto County: Another news story on Hernando becoming the healthiest hometown in the state. Budget talks were set for Olive Branch and Southaven last night and more communities. Southaven already has a number of plans, if the tourism tax is approved. Hernando will soon have a fourth water tower. A report from the Olive Branch Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting.
