by public school officials in Seattle, WA to get an abortion without the knowledge

Families are my number one priority and I believe a family needs a safe, affordable,
place to live and work. We must have JOBS so that families can provide for themselves.
Too many politicians are focused on power and consolidation is the ultimate power
grab. Consolidation will bring the people in District 4 Higher Taxes and a Green

Now let me be clear, the citizens on this commission are not the problem. The problem
I see with the commission is that Shelby County is wasting $50,000. to create something
we don’t want. Why the big hurry to put this on the ballot in November 2010? Who
is pushing for consolidation????

This group claims not to be for consolidation but Brian Stephens, Executive Director
stated, “So, we really are talking about dissolving Memphis and Shelby County
government
and creating a whole new government that will represent all the people of our county.”

Mr. Stephens calls for more transparency in government but he refuses to release
a list of donors for Rebuild government.

After the meeting John Branston, with the Memphis Business Journal, informed him
of our tax rates. Mayor Goldsmith said, “Then why would anyone (outside the city)
vote for it?” Good Question!

Brian Stephens is also a Shelby County Election Commissioner. Save Shelby County
(and others) have called for Mr. Stephens to resign from the election commission
as he definitely has a conflict of interest. The consolidation issue will be voted
on and we must always remove the appearance of corruption. I’ve heard from many
that this is not illegal - just morally unethical. I join others in asking Mr. Stephens
to immediately resign from the election commission.
