Interim Shelby County Mayor Joe Ford: Why would time on the City’s payroll count toward the County’s pension plan? It did for Ford. Commissioner Mike Carpenter accuses Ford of stalling on the County’s budget for political purposes. ATVs are a nuisance to state farmers. One-third of state traffic fatalities are alcohol-related. Foreclosure notices are up 42%.
Real Estate: Memphis area foreclosure filings fell by nearly one-third in January.
