Lt. Governor Ramsey to endorse family planning bill

NASHVILLE, TN - Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey (R-Blountville) will endorse
legislation ensuring family planning funds go to public women’s health
services providers before private applicants are considered. The
legislation is necessary to avoid incidents such as one which occurred
at a Shelby County Planned Parenthood last July. A videotape was made
of an allegedly impregnated 14-year-old being coached by a Planned
Parenthood counselor to lie about the age of her boyfriend to avoid
legal scrutiny.
