BACKGROUND:

The Child Impact Statement Reporting System is a newly created web-based
tool designed to enhance critical thinking and promote the development
of effective policies impacting children and families.

The first of its kind in the United States, the CIS Reporting System
will improve the quality of information available to policymakers and
offer evidence-based insights and research regarding child and family
wellbeing in Shelby County and across Tennessee.

The University of Memphis Center for Multi-Media Arts designed the CIS
Reporting System and will demonstrate its use and potential
effectiveness.
