Press Release: Memphis Tea Party Protest on April 15th

What about my reappraisal which went up when housing prices have plummeted? What about public servants who get up to 13 weeks off per year and now are to get a 3% salary increase? What about $3.5 billion in unfunded OPEB costs? What about a City budget that increased funded staffing levels by 14% from 2007 to 2009? What about all the crony jobs given out when the taxpayers, who pay for everything, are being laid off their private sector jobs?

It is time your voices were heard by the politicians. On April 15th at 5 PM there will be a tax day tea party at the corner of Southern Avenue and Perkins Extended. Go to http://www.reformpolitix.com/ to see the details. I urge you to attend as this April is the beginning of the budget hearings in the city and the county. Be there and tell them you are not going to take it anymore.
